“Religion That God Our Father Accepts As Pure And Faultless Is This: To Look After Orphans And Widows In Their Distress And To Keep Oneself From Being Polluted By The World” James 1:27
In 2019 we had the wonderful opportunity for us to reach out to the kids at the Salvation Army in Pietermaritzburg and the teenagers at the Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home. On numerous occasions we took young sports men from the Midlands Sharks Academy with to connect with the kids and play games with them.
These institutions are in great need. Although the homes try their best too meet all the needs of the kids (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) it is not always possible. It’s Co-Care’s goal to identify and stand in those gaps.
The latter half of the 2019 year saw Co-Care pack food parcels for the needy kids at Port Natal School in Durban. Spur also assisted with donating a large amount of stationary and other products that is often too expensive for parents to buy. When December came Co-Care was capable of providing a number of “Christmas Boxes” for the kids in need. Co-Care aims at meeting the needs of less fortunate kids whenever and wherever we can.
